Where the facts come from

How this data got here.

Provenance means making it traceable where a statement comes from, when it was fetched, and what has not been decided. The unfinished part belongs to that too.

The route the catalogue data takes

  1. Step 1

    Query

    SRU interface services.dnb.de/sru/dnb, CQL index WOE, MARC21-XML, paged 100 records at a time.

  2. Step 2

    Raw hash

    A SHA-256 is taken over every response and stored. An unchanged hash proves the catalogue entry has not moved.

  3. Step 3

    Normalisation

    MARC21 fields are mapped onto a stable structure. The DNB returns decomposed Unicode; every value is recomposed to NFC.

  4. Step 4

    Matching

    Agreements with internal releases are weighed. Title or name alone never produces an automatic release.

  5. Step 5

    Draft import

    Records are created as internal drafts: not published, not linked automatically.

Documented conflicts

Platform data contradicts the catalogue. For two releases both an institutional record and a platform statement exist. The platform gave a date four and twenty-two months adrift respectively. Checking showed the platform field matches the upload day exactly in every observed case — two tracks were uploaded 43 seconds apart. It is an upload timestamp, not a publication date, and is therefore not used as one.

The consequence: for three releases without a catalogue entry the publication date stays unknown. A plausible value was available; it would have been wrong.

    Which third-party accounts belong to the person is a separate claim for each profile. Only the account that demonstrably holds the work is emitted; the professional networks stay open.

    A link to the German Integrated Authority File is made only on unambiguous evidence.

    Media rights (partly cleared)

    The creator cleared the covers of his own releases on 5 August 2026 and they are shown. The remaining artwork is uncleared and not shown.

    Release matching

    Twelve matches were confirmed on 5 August 2026 after the ISRC proved identical in both registers. One case stays open: CHATTERBOX has no counterpart on the platform account and so cannot be checked against a second identifier.
