The magazine begins with the one format there is actually material for: notes on how this network is built and what building it turned up about its own holdings. Every figure quoted is read from the database at request time rather than written into the text.

What is here and what is not. These notes report on this project, not on other people. Where they make a statement about an outside source, the evidence is given with it. There is no third-party reporting, no reviewing and no scene coverage here — the editorial basis for that does not exist.

    What independent publishing means bibliographically

    An upload makes music available. A deposit with the national library makes it findable — still findable after the platform it sat on has gone.
